At a Glance

Location

Heritage is located in the Morningside, Ansley Park, Midtown area, just south of Buckhead and close to the heart of the cultural and arts center of the city. We have families who live within walking distance and others who drive from as far as Conyers and Douglasville.

We are easily accessible from I-75/85 and are located on the property of Morningside Baptist Church at the intersection of Piedmont Avenue and Montgomery Ferry Road (get directions). We are a non-denominational, independent school, and have a strong partnership with Morningside Baptist Church where we have established a long-term lease.

Campus

Our 12-acre campus features our main school building with over 16,000 square feet of building space, which includes classrooms, a media center, science, art, and nature studies rooms, and a computer lab. The campus also offers a full size gymnasium, a beautiful sanctuary, a regulation soccer field and a nature trail that circles the property.  This fall we begin a renovation of the playground that will be complete before the end of 2009.  We will be renovating additional buildings on the property in the near future.

Enrollment

Heritage now enrolls 130 students. Our board members, teachers, and families represent over 29 churches. This diversity creates a rich, non-denominational, Christ-centered education culture. Our long term plans are to keep the school relatively small, in order to ensure quality on all levels.

Average Class Size

Enrichment (Kindergarten) programs: 9-12 students.

Elementary and Middle School (Classes 1-8): 10-14 students.

Placement

Graduates of Heritage Preparatory School consistently receive acceptance to many of the established middle and high schools in Atlanta including Whitefield Academy, Lovett, Westminster, Woodward Academy, Pace Academy and others.

Membership and Accreditation

Heritage is a member of the Association of Classical Christian Schools, Association of Christian Schools International, Atlanta Area Association of Independent Schools, Educational Records Bureau and is fully accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
