Cross Country Team finishes first successful year

Held at Piedmont Park, schools from Atlanta were invited to come enjoy a middles & lower school race that is sure to be a yearly event.  The middle school race was the first event of the invitational as runners experienced a 2 mile course through the park. Holt Merkle represented his school well as he placed 2nd in a field of over 25 runners.  The lower school race was a site to behold as Heritage took 5 of the six places that were available.  Ansley Guthrie (1st), Virginia Oelkers (2nd), and Charlotte Graddock (3rd) represented the girls' team while Brooks Merkle (1st) and Jean Luc Brown (3rd) placed for the boys. Many thanks to the coaches, runners, volunteers, and parents that made this glorious/historic day possible and we look forward to seeing you at the park next year.
