Catherine Dornbos
Class 1A
I am deeply blessed to have joined the faculty of Heritage Preparatory as a Class One teacher. I have always enjoyed caring for children, developing relationships with them, teaching them, and training them. After many years working in sales, training and marketing, the Lord has graciously placed a clear call before me to teach. I am very excited about this leading, and I feel privileged to be called to such an awesome and important opportunity to serve Him and further His kingdom. As I serve the Lord at Heritage, I hope that I will have both an earthly and eternal impact on the children. First and foremost, I would like to teach them that knowing and loving God and having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior is more important than anything else that they can learn. Next I would like to create a personal relationship with each child that communicates love for them and specifically recognizes their individual gifts and potential. Last, I would like to inspire in them a life long love of learning. Outside of Heritage I participate in Bible Study Fellowship and I am a member of Church of the Apostles. My housemate is a 40 lb mixed yellow lab named Bella, who is dearly loved. Whenever I have the time, money, and enthusiastic companions, I love to travel both near and abroad. Past trips have included Egypt, Jordan, England, Scotland, Turkey, Greece, Mexico, and Canada. My favorite destination so far is Israel, which I visited in December 2004 and March 2007.
