Enrichment IIB
I am very excited to be part of Heritage Preparatory School this year. Working with children has always been a passion of mine. I feel extremely blessed to be part of your child’s education and shepherding their hearts.
I was raised in Jacksonville, Florida, which is where my family still lives. I entered the University of Alabama and graduated with a business degree in 1980. I worked in finance and investment banking for 24 years after graduating. I spent my free time enjoying adventure travel, outward bound trips, biking tours, and working as a camp counselor. I always enjoyed teaching Sunday school to young children. I took a leave of absence, traveling to Siberia on The Commission Project, working with educators, teaching them about Christianity.
God finally brought me a husband (I knew he would) and blessed us with two boys. In order to spend more time with my children, God opened yet another door- teaching! God had perfectly molded me and shaped me for this job long before I knew I would actually be teaching.
I continue to love to travel with my family, although finding the time is much more of a challenge. I love being a homemaker in addition to being a teacher. I love to garden, cook, and watch my boys play ball.
I bring to the classroom life skills and a love for your children. It is an honor to be a part of their lives and knowing that God has placed us together. I look forward to helping them grow in the knowledge and truth of God.
