Enrichment IIA, Nature Studies (Enrichment-Class 4)

I delight in the opportunity to begin my fourth year at Heritage with your children! Let me take a moment to share my history and classroom ambitions with you. I grew up in Ringgold, Ga., as the second oldest of eight children. Being a member of a large family, as you can well imagine, entailed lots of household responsibilities and fun memories. Upon graduation from King College, I moved to Huntersville, NC, to become a fifth grade teacher. During summer months I studied at Columbia International University in Columbia, South Carolina. Teaching has been my outlet to serve and enjoy adorable children. I wanted to share with you my highest ambition for the Enrichment II class: Worshiping God for his Creation and Goodness. As God drew back the veil from His creation for the first time, the angels beheld the splendor of a perfect earth. From the vastness of the galaxies to the intimate details of humanity, beauty and design were revealed in the created world. Could the response of the angels be anything less than worship? Likewise, I anticipate unveiling natural and special revelation within the classroom. Every subject taught in the classroom is a derivative of that first week; Creation is an open textbook. After presenting beauty, together we can respond in worship. I am anxious to shepherd little hearts toward worshiping the Giver of all good things.
