Susan Underwood

Class 3A

I am blessed to be part of Heritage Preparatory School. It is a joy to teach Class Three, which I have done for my four years here at Heritage. I am originally from Alabama and moved to Atlanta eight years ago.

My undergraduate degree is in Justice and Public Safety. About twelve years ago I felt that God was calling me to teach. I returned to school to get a Master's degree in Early Childhood Education and have been teaching ever since.  I am so grateful that Heritage is a place where we teach children to love God and honor Him as Creator of all things “So that a future generation…might put their confidence in God and not forget God’s works, but keep His commandments” (Ps. 78:6-7).

My prayer is that God will use me in this process as I continue teaching and loving the children at Heritage.

I have a wonderful husband named Thom, and I have one incredible son named Giovanni who is a freshman at the University of Georgia. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, running, and playing with my dogs.
