Students must be 4 years old by September 1 for PreK & 5 years old by September 1 for Kindergarten.

The best way to prepare your child is to have them be themselves. This is our opportunity to get to know your child and what makes him or her special.

The preliminary application (Shared Applicant Form, Parent Questionnaire, and Application fee) is due by 02/01/2026. All supplemental forms are due by 02/17/2026. Please contact Admissions if you need an extension.

We currently have over 300 students between both our campuses.

Our average student-to-teacher ratio is 12:1 in lower school and 15:1 in middle and upper school. Class sizes are small so that each student will receive individual attention and have abundant opportunities to participate and lead.

Heritage was founded to provide a distinctly Christ-centered education, characterized by academic excellence, and joyful discovery within a classical framework.

Parents are expected to play an active role in their children's education. This means that time at home should practically reinforce what is learned in school from academics to spiritual and character development. Parents are also encouraged to give of their time volunteering as well as to support the school's Annual Fundraising opportunities.

Please contact our Admissions Office to attend one of our campus visits. Seeing the school makes all the difference. 

Heritage seeks to provide an environment in which Christian behavior is demonstrated and lived out in all aspects of the school day. Consistency and positive reinforcement are the primary means by which the faculty motivates good behavior. Our goal is to shepherd a child's heart towards Christ.  

• PreK  - 5th grade: Carpool begins at 7:30 a.m. and school starts at 8:00 a.m. PreK and Kindergarten students are dismissed at noon each day. First - Fifth grade dismissal is at 2:30 p.m.

• Sixth Grade - Eighth Grade: Carpool begins at 7:30 a.m. and school starts at 8:00 a.m.Dismissal is at 2:30 p.m. Carpool drop-off and pick-up is from the Commons on our upper school campus.

• High School: Drop-off begins at 7:30 a.m. and school starts at 8:30 a.m. Dismissal is at 2:30 p.m. Carpool drop-off and pick-up is from Founders Hall on our upper school campus.

• We enjoy a noon dismissal school-wide on days before a scheduled break.

Students have the opportunity to purchase lunch through our local partnerships with Chick-fil-A, Little Rey, and Chopt. Additionally, students are welcome to bring lunch from home.

We encourage parents to form carpools with other Heritage families in their area. Upon enrolling, you will have access to our Family Directory which contains a map of all our families to easily identify families that live close to you.

Yes. Heritage has a library on both campuses along with a full-time librarian and assistant. The library has over 7,000 volumes of quality literature and media resources. Our library is a special collection of classic and living' books we have carefully selected with the hope of cultivating a lifelong love of reading in our students. Both lower and upper school campuses have beautiful library spaces that have been intentionally designed to delight and inspire our students to read great literature.

Students wear uniforms in all grades. We have established our policy on uniforms to encourage a tasteful and modest lifestyle.

Generally, homework assignments will be made Monday through Thursday for grades 3-4; and Monday through Friday for grades 5-12. Nightly homework is not assigned for Prek-2nd grade students.

Approximate times to be spent on homework per day for the average student are the following:

• Grade 3:30 minutes
• Grade 4:40 minutes
• Grade 5:50 minutes
• Grades 6-12: Between 60-100 minutes

This time is the average for the class; actual time may vary according to the pace at which the student works. These time allotments for homework do not include corrections, unfinished work from class, or daily outside reading from the required reading list. We ask that students read, or be read to, for 30 minutes a night.

We believe that early childhood training begins at home. While we work diligently to develop a child's reading and writing skills, helping children lead themselves, and learning self-control and obedience establishes a foundation upon which future academic skills are built. We believe this is a very unique philosophy among Christian schools.
