House System

Single Hero

Bonhoeffer, Carmichael, Liddell, & Teresa

The House system is a distinctive and meaningful part of  Heritage culture, offering Upper School students opportunities to build community, cultivate relationships, grow in faith, serve others, and enjoy fellowship through both play and prayer. Upon entering middle school, each student is welcomed into one of our four Houses: Bonhoeffer, Carmichael, Liddell, or Teresa. These Houses are named after inspiring men and women of faith. Guided by our Discipleship Coordinator, who supports both the Dean of Students and the Head of Upper School, the House system fosters rich discipleship experiences across North Campus. Through this program, students form lasting friendships, engage in spirited competitions, serve the broader community, and contribute to the spiritual and social vibrancy of our school.

Leadership Opportunities Within the House System

At Heritage, we are committed to developing servant-hearted leaders who influence their peers and communities with wisdom and integrity. The House system provides students with meaningful leadership opportunities that cultivate responsibility, teamwork, and a heart for service.

High school students can apply for leadership roles within their Houses, allowing them to speak on behalf of their classmates, organize events, and help shape the culture of the student body. These roles include Class Representatives, House Shepherds, Founders Hall Stewards, and Prefects. Prefects serve as the primary connection between students and administration, ensuring student voices are heard.

Prefects

Represent students to the administration and help shape school culture

House Shepherds

Boost the social and spiritual morale of their House

Class Representatives

Facilitate communication among classmates, Prefects, and Shepherds

Founders Hall Stewards

Uphold the school's cultural values within Founders Hall
