Music & Choir

Music is woven into the fabric of Heritage, enriching the lives of students from PreK through 12th grade. Our music curriculum is designed to cultivate an appreciation for Western Art music, with an emphasis on literacy, hymn studies, and historical understanding. Students begin their musical journey by developing listening skills, singing proficiency, and an understanding of musical notation.

Throughout the year, students engage in sight singing, rhythm dictation, and movement activities, building a strong foundation in music theory. As they advance, they have the opportunity to join the Heritage Choir, where they refine their vocal techniques and perform in concerts that celebrate both sacred and classical music.

We believe music extends beyond the classroom, so we encourage families to foster a love of classical music at home. By immersing students in a rich musical tradition, we prepare them to appreciate and contribute to the beauty of worship and the fine arts.
